Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny
“Friends shouldn’t let friends write movies.” That was my wife’s opinion of the movie, and I can’t disagree. I wouldn’t say it was a bad. In fact, I’d say I enjoyed it overall. It’s just exceedingly silly, perhaps too much so at times (the sasquatch scene comes to mind… don’t ask). Here’s the best scene from the movie.
(Warning: Like the entire movie, this clip is strictly not to be played with children or mixed company present. Let’s just say, if you could measure profanity on the Richter scale, this clip would register an 8.5. You have been warned.

If you’re a fan of Tenacious D to any extent (I really only like their song “Tribute”), it’s an okay rental. I wouldn’t prioritize it over other movies if given the choice, but it’s not a bad Netflix backup.
