d20 Weapon Comparison Tool

Instructions - This is a utility for use in the Dungeons & Dragons gaming system. It computes the differences in damage between D&D weapons with varying attributes. Start by inputting the stats for each weapon in the form above and click "Submit." The column labelled "Armor Class" indicates the armor class of the target. The values listed in the "First Weapon" and "Second Weapon" columns indicate the average damage for each weapon when used against a target of that armor class. The "Difference" column shows the numeric (and percentile) difference in damage between the first and second weapon in each scenario.

Note that this program does not currently account for variations in bonuses to confirm critical hits, damage not added to critical hits, or nonstandard methods of determining critical damage. View the development post for more details.
